I called the store after seeing the job position online. I wanted to know who I should address my cover letter to. After speaking to the produce ATL, I received a follow up call to schedule an interview. I made sure to emphasize my past supervisory experience as well as my knowledge of Whole Foods values and culture. I would absolutely make sure to peruse the Whole Foods website and incorporate the core values into your interview. Personal contact with team members and leadership is a bonus before you interview. I think that they are looking for people who embody the mission, values and job description. Your education is not going to be the first thing they look for, so if you, like me, have an advanced degree, it may not be a good idea to count on that giving you a leg up. Core values ftw.
