I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Greensboro, NC) in Mar 2014
Interview
This whole process took about two months. I would go to the website job posting board several times a week. It changes often. I was advised to apply to every position I found so I did for those two months. I would also go to the store several times on weekends usually and try and meet people there. I had done some demos in WF for another company I worked for. Anyway, they eventually called me back on Saturday after eating breakfast there and talking to everyone I could that morning.
I had an initial interview with two ladies who were nice and to the point. It was hard to schedule with my existing job not knowing I was interviewing and WF was reasonable in accommodating. The interview consisted of classic questions like "When was a time when you were challenged and how did you overcome it?". They told me they liked me at the end and said I had to go through another interview to officially offer me the job.
I got a call a few days later for another interview. One guy this time. He was a little more intense but actually easier to talk to overall. I had memorized the mission statement stuff about WF on their website so I was about to talk confidently with him. He asked me things like "why Whole Foods"? and also "What are some of the biggest misconceptions about yourself"? Nice conversation overall and we shook hands with him still saying things like "if we decide to hire you" and such.
I then received an email a few days later saying congratulations and welcome to Whole Foods team. It detailed emails I would receive conducting a background check (7 year) and all the forms I would need to actually be hired. Just went for my first training and it was a blast!

Interview
First was with the department manager then the associate. Asked about previous employers & asked questions. Great interview, was not hired right away until about a week. Started about 3 weeks later as a part-time & a year later I changed department to produce where I became full-time.
