A short but good interview process, including a call with HR and one with the prospective boss. I was offered the position within a few weeks of starting the application process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What experience do you have with customer service?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wiley (Hoboken, NJ) in Jan 2013
Interview
Networked to find someone within the company to recommend me. The HR department is understaffed and quite a few people have recently been laid off so they prefer referrals and internal candidates. I finally met with my future manager two weeks after the screening call, but from there, it was a very quick process. About two days after meeting my manager, I received an offer. They liked that I asked a lot of insightful questions and knew a lot about Wiley's legacy.
Not a formal interview, but an introductory call. Was great to learn about the company and expectations for the role even if it ended up not being the right fit for me.
The interview was quick and not very informational. I felt like I was just some other name to be crossed off the list. They also never told me that I wasn't chosen until after I asked them.
