Senior Manager of Search Engine Marketing Interview

      1 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at WillScot in Feb 2026

      Interview

I was contacted directly by a recruiter regarding a Senior Manager of Search Engine Marketing role and went through multiple interview rounds. The process initially felt very positive. The recruiter was responsive, interviews were scheduled quickly, and the conversations with the team were strong. After completing interviews, I was told I would hear back soon regarding next steps. From that point on, communication ultimately broke down. I sent multiple follow-ups over several weeks to stay engaged and was consistently met with no response. Eventually, I received an automated text message asking for feedback on the recruitment experience, without ever receiving a formal update on my candidacy. The role was ultimately filled, but no one from the company communicated a decision directly. I understand that hiring processes can change, especially with internal transitions, but completely dropping communication with a candidate after multiple interview rounds reflects a breakdown in basic candidate communication and ownership. Based on other candidate feedback, this does not appear to be an isolated experience. The overall experience gave the impression of a disorganized process, and candidates should take that into consideration when evaluating the opportunity. The experience left a negative impression due to how the process was handled at the end.
