The company has what feels like nearly ten stages in their interview process. I have already completed five, and was unsuccessful at the fifth. Despite that, I was informed there would still be a sixth and seventh stage for ‘due diligence’.
I have already met with HR twice, presented to the team, and had a conversation with the Director. This all began back in March and we are now in May, yet they are still adding more stages.
To put it in perspective:
1st stage – interview with the HR Director
2nd stage – hiring manager
3rd stage – meet the team
4th stage – second meeting with HR Director
5th stage – presentation and interview with the team
I am completely exhausted. I was genuinely excited about the role at first, but this process has become draining and excessive. At this point, I no longer feel motivated or valued.
It is disappointing, because I initially saw this as a great opportunity. However, I’ve now reached a point where I will be withdrawing my application. The level of overprocessing has become unprofessional, especially considering this is not the White House.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wilson Sporting Goods (Glendale, AZ) in Feb 2023
Interview
2 levels of interview. First part is online and you will answer questions on video, very awkward. Second part is face to face but the interviewer will reference the video interview. The company is looking for a hard core salesperson who will walk right into potential accounts without an appointment and try to sell.
