Interview
I had a long process of 8 interviews. Some of them were technical and some were with emphasis on leadership.
My overall impression is that the hiring process is tough and
I do not recommend others to apply for the role.
At the end I just received some generic email after spending 9 hours in total.
Dear Candidate,
My name is Andy Ballard. I’m the CEO at Wiser and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your interview process. We are always trying to balance having a fantastic candidate experience with the depth we would like to have in interviews to ensure it’s a great fit between us and potential new team members. I’m sorry that you didn’t have the quality experience that we strive for, whether we extend an offer or not. We will continue to refine our process and most importantly, thanks for taking the time to give us this valued feedback.
Best,
Andy

Interview
1st round with HR - asked about my experiences and expectations etc - interview went well. 2nd round with senior engineering manager - asked few behavioral questions and few high level architecture questions - interview went well. 3rd round - 1 medium level coding question and 2 system design questions - interview according to me went very and interviewer said wish you good luck for next rounds which is positive for sure. I successfully solved coding question in python on 3rd attempt, gave 3 alternative solutions for one of system design problems. Interview went well as per me. There was one guy who was taking interview and there was another guy who was not talking at all. Next day I got email not moving forward with the profile. I asked for constructive feedback HR said it's against policy. I believe they are just doing interviews for some GC perm requirements of some employee in their organization. Overall not worth spending any time giving interview with this company.
We are glad to hear that you had a positive interview experience with our engineering teams. We are discussing as a People & Culture team how and what details we will consider sharing with candidates in the future. In regards to the Green Card comment, we can assure you that that is not the case. Our current engineering open roles are for additional headcount. - Jenna De Alba, Talent Acquisition Manager
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wiser Solutions in Feb 2021
Interview
8 rounds in total. 1 recruiter, 2 video screens followed by 4 technical and 1 managerial round.
Strangely one video screens also involved writing code. The 4 technical rounds consisted of writing code in SQL, JS and some Java. Problem solving is not the focus. The round with the architect was subjective with the guy checking my opinions on various topics.
Ensure that you answer what the interviewers expect
