The interview consisted of two stages. The first was HR screening and the second was with the CEO.
In general, the HR screening was not particularly interesting, everything was standard. The same evening I was invited to an interview with the CEO. The second stage was more interesting in terms of toxicity.
The first question that was asked by the company CEO was "How old are you?". Personally, I think it is a 100% red flag. After such a start, I decided to continue the interview telling him my age and giving this person a chance to proceed with the interview.
The second question was more toxic than the first one, he asked me to show reports from my current job. Instead showed him a pet project, not impressed. I showed him another more complicated pet project and told him that it was a real project. He started asking some elementary questions regarding the project. Continually distracted by some empty conversations about his trip to Kazakhstan. While I told him about my experience, he made a fake meaningful expression. Very strange person.
In the middle of the interview, when I explained to him in simple words the difference between a data set and a report, he suddenly said that I was not suitable for work. He told me that he give me feedback. Well, I was impressed and then surprised the third time during the interview when he gave me feedback. First, he told me that I could not self-present myself, second, he answered to his own technical questions incorrectly, and third that I didn't have enough experience and that I needed to go to a position with a lower salary and gain experience.
To summarize, a classic sharashkin company, with a toxic CEO with no prospects and growth, not even a close to technological start-up.
Waste of time.
