I applied through university. I interviewed at Wolfspeed (Durham, NC) in Apr 2017
Interview
Round 1 - written Questionnaire
Round 2 - phone interview with manager
Round 3 - Skype presentation
Round 4 - On site interview with 7 managers 30 minute each. Research presentation at the start
some interview questions were general and fun, basic science. Other questions were based on my research and resume as expected, nothing too difficult. Got a little stuck with non - technical questions. Couldn't put my point forward very clearly.
Advice- prepare really well for any interview with Cree. It is quite a challenging interview process.
Amazing location and inspiring team. Most of the interviewers were very friendly. Looked like a great place to work.
Normal tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here, problem solving example, technical question specific to the area you interview for. HR phone screen, manager phone screen then in person interview on site
Multiple interview rounds, multiple interviews with heads of different departments as the last round. Interview process started with a phone recruiter, followed by a hiring manager, the Hiring Manager's manager, and then a final round with all the heads of the departments independently (4-5)
