I applied online in October, Interviews took time between October and November 1. The first interview with HR went smoothly. She was pleasant, polite, and easy to converse with. HR walked me through the process and asked standard questions about my experience and compensation aspirations. After a few days, I was invited to the second round of interviews with the hiring manager. 2. Interview with the hiring manager - went exceptionally well. He was nice. Explained to me the role and responsibilities. Felt like a nice conversation with a couple of questions rather than a typical interview. I had the impression that we clicked right away. I'd love to work for him. 3. The final interview with the VP was a disaster. As soon as I connected to the video conversation, she annoyingly said I was too early (since connecting 5 minutes early is considered bad?) and that she was busy doing something else. After a few minutes, she began asking questions but appeared hostile and dissatisfied with all of my responses. I felt that I didn't stand a chance of pleasing her. At some point during our talk, she asked “Where do you see yourself in 5 years? “I shared my ambitious plans and the remark "So you want my job!" spilled off her tongue. As soon as she realized she could have competition, she began criticizing all of my replies, and the rest of the interview consisted of her telling me "you don't want this job" and me responding "No, I do, because…!" I never received a definitive response regarding the status of my application. The company ghosted me.
