      Instrumentation and Control Engineer Interview

      2 Nov 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Toronto, ON
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Worley (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2017

      Interview

I had 2 telephonic interviews as I was out of town when the interviews were conducted. One interview was with HR and the other was with the Hiring/Reporting Manager. HR Manager Interview: It was generic and the HR discussed my Resume mostly and making sure that I was perfect fit for the position. Behavioral questions were tough and short time was given to answer them. Later, Salary expectation was also asked and the HR informed me about the maximum salary that they will be willing to offer me in-case the Hiring Manager decides to select me as final candidate out of 10 short-listed applicants. The interview lasted for about 30 minutes. Hiring Manager Interview: The hiring manager interview was quiet difficult. He had read my resume in detail and he asked me about my technical skills and level of knowledge related to the position. He then cross-questioned me from my resume to check my Technical Knowledge for about 30 minutes. Later, He asked me technical questions related specifically from the position which he had prepared before my interview. After technical questions, Behavioral questions were asked and lastly Salary expectations were also discussed. The hiring manager confirmed me that he will be selected me as the final candidate and will be later proceeding with further Hiring process. The interview lasted for about 1 hour 20 minutes. Every answer was typed both by HR manager and Hiring Manager. After my 2nd interview, I was contacted by the HR manager to provide contact details for my Referees to do reference checks and other back-ground checks were also done. Over-all, It only took them 4 weeks from date of application to Offer Letter Issuing. Overall, It was an Excellent experience.
