Everything went very well with the recruiter, she was professional. When I started speaking to sales leadership, it was clear they were not very experienced and somewhat resistant to new ideas. At least one of them no-showed for the interview. Multiple scheduling coordinators tripped over themselves when booking time. Things really got bad when a meeting was arranged with the founder. I was asked to share examples electronically that should not be asked for since its personal intellectual property. In person, that is fine. But electronically, content can be stolen, reused, after the interview process is over. I was insulted for questioning this, and then was told I was wasting his time. He admitted he was having a bad day, but in those cases, its best to just reschedule the call. It is a lesson learned: if the head of the company treats a candidate like that, I can imaging the internal culture is no better.
