I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at X-Press Feeders (Singapore)
Interview
The interviewer is not open minded, doesn't listen and care about the candidate's experience. Expect candidate to blindly follow his command. Cannot imagine working with arrogant tech lead. Not recommended.
for technical internship. asked a range of questions both technical and behavioural. technical questions are quite broad and can be granular or higher-level. be sure of what you know and show a good thought process
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at X-Press Feeders (Singapore) in Oct 2025
Interview
**Complete Waste of Time - Outdated Interview Process**
Applied through referral from a former colleague who used to work here. Interviewed with HR Manager and Software Manager.
**What went wrong:**
I came prepared with a portfolio of production systems I've built, real-world projects with measurable impact, and personal side projects demonstrating my technical range. **They couldn't have cared less.** Zero interest in what I've actually shipped or the problems I've solved.
Instead? LeetCode trivia. The Software Manager fixated on algorithm puzzles like it's 2015.
Here's the kicker: I proposed a more efficient solution to one of his questions—a modern approach that's actually used in production environments.
**He completely dismissed it and forced me to solve it his "conventional" way.** Translation: "Do it my way or you're wrong," regardless of whether your solution is objectively better.
**Red flags everywhere:**
→ They've been failing to hire software engineers for YEARS. Now I understand why.
→ Their Glassdoor rating speaks volumes—check it before applying.
→ They're not looking for engineers who can think critically or improve systems.
→ They want code monkeys who memorize algorithm patterns and don't question authority.
**The bottom line:**
If you're an engineer who builds real products, solves actual business problems, and thinks independently—**run.**
This company doesn't value builders. They value people who can regurgitate LeetCode solutions on command.
Save yourself the time. Their broken hiring process is exactly why they can't retain or attract top talent.
