First a screening with the HR recruiter by phone, organised by a booked appointment. Second, the HR recruiter contacted me to “arrange a time to meet with the hiring manager to discuss and clarify my interests in management”. This was booked as a 30 minute phone call with the hiring manager; stating “the hiring manager will call you on your number”. No face-to-face interview was booked. The calendar invitation for this session was not sent by the recruiter until minutes before the scheduled call. I come to learn later that the 30 minute phone call as actually an interview.
