      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Year Up United (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

My first phone interview was with someone in HR. She first asked me about my background and my salary expectations and then asked me other questions. Then I received an invitation for a PI Behavioral Assessment which was very easy. Two weeks later I received a calendar invite for a phone interview with the director who missed the first two two meetings. I sent him a reminder and he apologized and we had a good conversation on the third attempt. Three weeks later I was contacted for face to face interview. I was asked to prepare 15 minutes presentation. The presentation I thought went very well because the students were very exited and gave me a good hand of applause. Then I met face to face with one of instructors their and another meeting with one of the student's counselor and finally with the director. It took almost three months due to the holidays.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Year Up United (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

By far, the most comprehensive job interview I have ever had.It covered multiple questions on background, training, experience, as well as "what would you do in this situation". There is a panel interview as well as 1:1 and phone interviews. The staff was very professional.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Year Up United

      Interview

After applying online, received an email asking to schedule a phone screen. This call lasted about 30 minutes and then I was told I would hear back within 2 weeks. The next steps would be coming in and doing a "Test Teach" (teaching a lesson plan) in front of real students and other staff members, in addition to a group interview with staff. After about 3-4 weeks I received another email saying I was no longer in consideration for the position. Be prepared for a long interview process and a lot of waiting. The phone screen was not bad - no really difficult questions. Be prepared to talk about why you love technology, your teaching style, how you would handle difficult conversations with students, etc.
