I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yell (Birmingham, England) in Aug 2021

      Interview

The interview process for Yell was extremely exciting and engaging. We were provided with a compelling overview of the organisation, success stories for development, and a compelling introduction to innovation products in the pipeline. The interview was really interesting as it didn't feel like competition was the sole focus of this role, but rather how well we interact with others. I really enjoyed the group task we had to complete, as it gave us a chance to interact - a challenge especially whilst being isolated/remotely completing an interview. The Q and A section was really enriching and provided real-life examples on how to succeed and perform well in the role - as well as a deeper dive into the culture of Yell. The break out interview was nerve racking, but the interviewers really made the process comfortable and helped the ease of delivery. Their follow up questions really made a great impression because they showed they actually listen to your pitch/engage with you throughout the day. In general, the interview process was one of the best I have had. Having people throughout the organisation to share the vision and direction of the organisation and expectations for aspiring BDM's was very fulfilling.

      Question 1

Choose a celeb - which would you select for a Yell interview? Why? Why a career in sales? Why you? What trait is most suited to role? Which trait of yours will hold you back?

      Interview

I believe the interview process was a new trialed online interview for Yell to run, as candidates logged on to a virtual assessment day. It was such an immersive experience and ran so smoothly over the day.
