The interview process was easy and informal, but that can be a good or bad thing. In this case, the good was that I was able to talk some of the actual team members I would have been working with. The bad was that nobody really knew what they were looking for, and what the position was in general. The thing that stood out the most is that the CTO and co-founder of the company (Chemsford, I believe) essentially told me that he felt the position was impossible for anyone, and that's obviously self-fulfilling. If he feels like nobody can do the job he's trying to fill, there is no way it should exist. That would explain why, as they told me, it's been open for a very long time and they haven't been able to commit to any candidate. This does (perhaps, in my view) reflect the somewhat rambling history of this company overall.
