I had a phone screening with an internal recruiter, but the young lady (30 something) was incredibly rude. All German stereotypes came together in 15 minutes. No smiling, no empathic behavior, and a voice like a robot. I'm German myself, but that interview was quite an experience for me to stay away from Zeiss. I wouldn't apply here again.
My advice is to train your staff in people skills. Interviews should be an opportunity for both sides to find out if it's a match or not. It's more than checking boxes and act unnaturally.
