I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ZEISS Group (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jan 2009
Interview
Well, actually this was back in 1998 that I was interviewed and hired, right after I had graduated college. I was about to take a position with a pharmaceutical company, but a recruiter called me and told me to wait.... that I would love this position. I interviewed a few times with the recruiter, then with the hiring manager for the Western region. Just one interview with him. We clicked. I was offered the position a few days later after a few more questions from the recruiter.

Question 1
Give me a question and an answer that I can't argue with.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ZEISS Group (Birmingham, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
The interviewer was aware that I drove over 2 hours to attend the interview. My CV didn't show what I looked like, which was obviously a disappointment to the interviewer. It was one of the worst interviews I had ever attended as it was apparent that he had no interest in me once he laid eyes on me. The interview lasted just over 20 minutes (with me asking more of the questions). His questions were banal and none were about my work related skills. May I suggest to Zeiss that if they want a certain "look", perhaps they need to train their interviewers to get acting lessons so that they can effectively mask their disinterest and contempt (No apology from interviewer for wasting over 4 hours of my life and petrol for a 20 minute interview). At least they can feign interest while wasting the qualified person's time. As a result of this interview, I don't promote their products, not out of spite, but out of principle. I will switch customers I deal with into a different product as well. It won't make a dent in their sales, but for me, I feel better, knowing that I have washed my hands clean from a company who treat professionals who don't measure up to their superficial, 1950's image with such open contempt.

Question 1
I don't understand why you would want to work here when you already make a decent wage..(which was MUCH less what this position was offering!)
