Interview
The application process involved a single Interview mostly asking skills related questions. Information about different software related, mathematical and statistical skills and past research experience was inquired. The atmosphere was very friendly and productive.
The whole chat is pleasant, there is only one interview with the researcher fellows and no HR people are involved in the whole procedure. I basically enjoyed the interview, it was constructive.

What did you do during your last research experience?
Since there was no position in the department that I was interested in I simply submitted a "Initativbewerbung". I had an interview with two researchers. It was really casual and really good back and forth of understanding their work and my interests and experiences.
