I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ZYRL (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2023
Interview
I recently had an experience with ZYRL now known as Revi that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. While the company seemed promising at first, my interactions with them ultimately fell short of my expectations. One of the biggest issues I had with Revi was their lack of communication. I was asked to come in for an onsite interview and provided my availability promptly. However, after that initial correspondence, I received no further communication from the company for a while. I was left wondering if the interview was still on or if I should expect to hear from them soon. After waiting for some time, I decided to follow up with Revi (ZYRL) to get an update on the interview process. To my surprise, I was told that the interview slots had been filled by other candidates who were interviewing for a Project Manager role. While I understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances that could prevent a company from sticking to their interview schedule, I was disappointed that no one from Revi reached out to me to let me know that the slots were no longer available. Overall, my experience with Revi was negative due to the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused by having to rearrange my schedule for an interview that ultimately did not take place. However, I do appreciate that the company is likely busy with a large volume of applicants and that things don't always go according to plan. I just wish that there had been more transparency and communication throughout the process.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Why are you interested in working for this company?
I applied online. I interviewed at ZYRL in Aug 2020
Interview
Introductory call, technical screen sharing session, then a take home assignment. They said the take home assignment would only take a few hours, but based on the requirements, that wasn't true.
Waited 2 weeks for feedback on the project, but only received an email saying they were moving forward with other candidates. If the company is going to ask applicants to spend their own valuable time on a take home project, the bare minimum the company can do in return is provide feedback on said project.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ZYRL (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Phone screen with an early team member who asked pretty standard questions; basic competency and basic culture fit. Then moved to a day of in person interviews. Interviewed with 4 current members and ended with a conversation with the CEO. Was very impressed with how carefully and how much time the team invested in vetting.

Interviewer laid out the basic assumptions about the company's customer, then asked how I would change the product if that assumption proved to be false.
