The interview process went very fast and smooth. It started with an introductory phone call with the VP on engineering. He was very helpful in giving a sense of the team, and how the current workflow runs. He asked me a technical question about sorting, but it was conversational and not scary.
After that, I had a technical interview with one of the engineers on the team. It was on web cam, and I shared my screen, so I could use whichever development environment I pleased. The interviewer was very nice and helpful, and working through the problems with him made me go from feeing mildly excited about working at Zaius, to very excited.
The final round was an on-site, where I talked to a few more members of the team, along with the VP of eng. again, and the CTO. There was a blend of technical and cultural questions, but the technical ones didn't involve any whiteboard coding; they were purely conversational.
By the end of the day, I was tired but had a good sense of what it'd be like to work there, and had genuinely liked everyone I spoke with.
