      Junior Frontend Developer Interview

      11 Feb 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Zoomin Software in Jan 2021

      Interview

My reaction here is sole because of the company's contempt for the candidate. I'll start by saying, I've been in the process with Zoomin Software for two and a half weeks ~. During which I went through 4 interviews: 1. 10-minute telephone interview with a senior manager. 2. One-hour technical interview with the team manager. 3. A homework assignment that took two days to do (I was given up to 4 days to return the assignment). 4. Another 30-minute interview with the same senior manager from the telephone interview. And finally, I was scheduled for an interview with the company's vice president but was canceled the afternoon of the day before the interview. I will break the process down into factors according to the numbering I wrote above so that more job seekers will keep their distance from this company: 1. The phone interview was normal, I was asked about "who I am" and told a little about the company, immediately after the call I was scheduled for a follow-up interview which was a technical interview with who was supposed to be my direct manager. 2. During the interview I felt that I did not show 100% understanding in all the questions but there was excellent chemistry with the interviewer and indeed after a day or two ~ I received by email the homework from the same manager. 3. The homework was relatively simple, The task was to build a UI from the SWAPI API to display a list from the site with little design. 4. The interview with the senior manager was good, he sat down and showed me what my day-to-day work would be, what companies they work with, and what a company day looks like, and finally, I was asked again to explain "who I am" and at the end of the interview I was told the process would take another two weeks! Because I have at least 3 more interviews ahead of me(crazy total of 7 interviews!). Anyway, 20 minutes from the end of the interview I had already received a phone call from HR in order to schedule a follow-up call with the VP, I was very happy at that moment. I did not imagine that the company would just completely ignore me at such an advanced stage in the process. If you've read this far you're probably in the process with this company, My process ended in a degrading and humiliating way. - Throughout all the stages I was the one who had to "chase" after an answer whether I passed or not and throughout all the steps I mentioned, at no stage I received feedback whether I passed the interview or not - which gave the feeling that if another interview was scheduled then I "passed" - I only received an HR call that wants to set a date for another interview at each of the stages - I did not receive feedback from the team manager on how the task I submitted was, if it was good at all, or if it was tested at all, in the email I sent asking for an explanation from the manager - I was completely ignored. All the niceness in the technical interview disappeared. To this day I am still waiting for an answer as to why an interview was scheduled for a candidate who is not suitable for the position for an interview with a VP, This company is run recruiting in a degrading way, the process of recruiting them only proves the quality of the people, does not recommend working in a company with such human relations. Think hard before you continue the process with this company
