I applied through university. I interviewed at Zymeworks in May 2020
Interview
The interview was held by the group of people I would be working directly with, and the questions were more technical than I expected (for a co-op position). Many questions pertained to how I used or how I would use certain techniques towards the type of work I would be doing.
Very intimidating interview process, with lots of technical questions which weren't related to the job description itself. The demeanour was very negative and they outright explained that even co-op interns are expected to work overtime (for a minimum wage job).
I interviewed at Zymeworks (Vancouver, BC) in Sept 2021
Interview
Interview was mostly about getting to know my previous experience with skills I'd need during my co-op. Know your own experience/research in depth - they asked a few technical details to clarify things.
