      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at causaLens in Feb 2021

      Interview

Disorganized hiring process. The HR manager never provided any information on the upcoming steps of the process. In my case the stages were: Stage 0: fill in questionnaire with standard questions (why are you applying, why to causaLens, why this position,..). Stage 1: interview with someone who works in the position you are applying to. Scheduled for 30 min. Content: mainly easy technical questions, barely anything about my background. When we got to the point where I could ask questions the time was pretty much up and the person I talked to had the next interview scheduled right after. Stage 2: Interview with hiring manager. Scheduled: 20 min, lasted about 50. Also mainly technical questions (which I didn't expect given the interview was scheduled to only last 20 min). Stage 3: Day Zero -- spend an entire day on different tasks and several interviews. Besides the CEO who was pretty arrogant and condescending everyone else I talked to was very friendly and seemed nice to work with. Most disappointing point: you can find a statement how much they care about diversity and inclusion on the causaLens website. When I applied, all technical employees I talked to and the ones I found on LinkedIn were an entirely homogeneous crowd lacking any kind of diversity. It would be good to acknowledge the problem and work against it instead of pretending it is not an issue for causaLens when it clearly is.

      Application

I interviewed at causaLens (London, England)

      Interview

The recruiting process consisted of three steps: 1. Interview with HR 2. Interview with Team Lead 3. Day 0 Day 0 consisted of a technical assessment (3 hours), three tech interviews (30 minutes each), and a cultural interview (30 minutes). The assessment mainly focused on coding skills and was partially related to machine learning. The interviews were generally easy, except for one interview where they delved deep into the mathematical concepts behind machine learning.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at causaLens (London, England)

      Interview

The first stage was a short interview asking me to talk about my previous experience and why I was interested in working for the company. This was followed by a longer technical interview. The technical interview comprised of a short coding challenge and a general discussion about different machine learning concepts. The final stage was Day 0. This involved a 2 hour coding challenge in the office followed by three half hour interviews, one of which centred on the coding challenge.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at causaLens (London, England)

      Interview

All interviews are quite easy. I ve talked with the recruiter and the 60-minute technical interview, with pair programming and answering technical questions. The pair programming task went really, I solved 2 problems really quick, and I answered all of the questions in the next part, expect of one. Then I ve never heard from them again, no feedback, no replies to my follow-up emails. They GHOSTED me.
