I interviewed at healthinsurance.com (Daytona Beach, FL)
Interview
Was quick and simple. Asked about my experience and if I was competitive and driven. Explained to me the pay structure and the steps it would take to get licensed.
Short, maybe 15 minutes. Most of the "interview" was them telling you about the job and what you might encounter. They spend a fair amount of time preparing you for the not-so-glamorous parts of the job which I appreciated.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at healthinsurance.com (Tampa, FL) in Jun 2025
Interview
Waited about 30 minutes past my scheduled interview time before they called me in. He didn’t ask me much about my resume. In fact, if I didn’t interrupt a couple times to ask follow up questions - I wouldn’t have really been able to say anything. I was already licensed. He proceeded to tell me all of the positives about working there. 15 minutes later the interview was over. I left there thinking one of two things just happened. Either, I got the job with no problem or I completely didn’t fit the demographic they’re looking for so I got a the standard “you’re not gonna be hired” interview. During the 30 minutes, I sat outside waiting to be interviewed, I noticed a younger looking workforce. I would say 35 years old or younger mostly people in their 20s. I don’t fit in either one of those categories. I think they would rather hire younger, newer agents who will willingly sit in cubicles with strict break times and be more open to being micromanaged all day. They have grown to realize more seasoned reps wouldn’t last in that environment very long.
