It started with 2 tests the DAP and Caliper. I thought they were interesting and seemed easy but no one went over them with me so I’m not sure how I did. Then it was a video interview and 3-4 in person interviews. They all were fine but come with questions because they will want you to ask a million.
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at ifm efector in Aug 2010
Interview
Interviewed for a general engineering position. Phone interview and then a one-on-one interview.
Perceptions: Not very clear on what the company wanted. Was made to understand that the job involved sensor integration to hardware and DSP. However turned out that the real requiremetn was an hardcore discrete parts low level analog engineer who did not require much s/w or DSP knowledge. Was told that my skillset was not compatible with their requirements
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Debug a complete low level analog circuit that was the basis of a sensor. used op amps, transistors and resistors and potential dividers
