I applied to a position on LinkedIn and was contacted by a recruiter from insync. She sent me an email on a sunday asking to set up an interview. She then calls me early Monday asking if I'd gotten her email (from the day prior, a sunday...which no, I was on a hike for the weekend with my partner...)
I responded afternoon on Monday to her email asking some questions about the position. She responded quickly and when I didn't respond within an hour (picking up my nephew) she sent me follow up email saying she assumed that meant I was no longer interested and was withdrawing my resume.
It's wild to me that in 2025 we are acting like this. Email on Sunday, expect immediate response, less than 24hrs later unilaterally deciding to withdraw candidate because they didn't meet your hugely red-flagged expectations. Surely there is something very, very wrong here. Good riddance.
