typical interview with questions about benefits, goals, past work, present work...interview included a phone interview, one in-person interview with upper management, a second interview with other employees...offer followed and employment began the following month per my request

Phone interviews (screening interview and then phone interview with hiring director) were straightforward. The in-person group interviews were interesting. There were several interviews that did not include the Director, and in those interviews, each employee exclaimed that they were over-worked, that their division was short-staffed (this was a long-term issue and the position I was interviewing for would not alleviate those burdens), that they were burnt out, and that they did not care for their work environment. In short, it appeared that the employees were trying to save me from working there. The other thing I noticed was that the HR representative was very scattered (maybe over-worked?), but also extremely unprofessional.
