I applied online on their website and received the invitation to interview the following week. The recruiter listed in the invite email available group interview times that you could select from. The group interview consisted of six interviewees (including myself), the store manager (SM; who facilitated the interview), and the assistant manager (AM; who took notes), so a total of eight people in the Zoom call. At the start of the interview, the SM explained how the interview process will work, i.e., the popcorn-style group interview where SM will say the question, AM will put the question in the chat for people to read, and interviewees can jump in when they're ready to say their answer. SM stated that their notes are for them to send to the recruiter because the recruiter makes hiring decisions, not the SM. After this group interview is an individual, in-person interview at the store. There was a total of three formal questions. The SM asked everyone to introduce themselves before the formal questions began. 4/6 people mentioned something about fitness or sports in their introduction (I was part of the 2/6 that did not). 3/6 people mentioned their retail experience (I did). I suggest jumping in earlier than later, because though it helps to hear how other people are responding, people tended to avoid saying the same answer, so if someone said what you wanted to say first, you might feel awkward. Additionally, at least for my group interview, the order in which people jumped in for the first question was the same for the most part for the remaining questions. The floor was open at the end for people to ask questions. The questions asked were 1) What does the every day workday look like at your store? 2) Is there an opportunity for full-time hire at the end of the work term? 3) Which of lululemon's core values align best with you [the SM]? 4) (A follow-up question to the last one because the SM answered fun) How do you demonstrate fun in the workplace? The interview went ~15 minutes overtime. The rejection email (which is an automated email from their application software) was sent less than 24 hours after the interview. I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter asking for feedback about my interview so that I could be a stronger candidate next time. The recruiter did respond the same day later in the evening but I think they misread my email because their response wasn't an answer to my question, or they tried to be really vague to avoid answering my question and ended up sounding off. They responded with something along the lines of "no feedback needed at this time". I appreciate the response though because it's better than being ghosted, even if the response left me confused. Overall, the interview process was okay and straightforward. It's what I expected from a group interview, although I did think I'd pass the group interview because I felt my answers were good, I kept an upbeat demeanour, and asked half of the questions at the end, so it could be a vibe thing? Who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
