I applied online. I interviewed at optilyz (Berlin) in May 2022
Interview
The interview process with Mr. Daniel Bartholomae included an initial screening and two "design challenges" in which applicants had to design a job applicant form, and in another different "design challenges", design an "improved UI for a data mapping step, where an Optilyz customer can define how their data maps onto our data types". Additionally, to these two time-consuming challenges, I was expected to "implement a presentational component in React for this form," a task that had nothing to do with the specific job criteria. As I later learned during the review of my task, it was not even necessary for the review portion.

It is a three steps process:

2. 1-hour pair programming, on an open-source project that you are familiar with, or a take-home exercise, you will discuss the results with two engineers afterwards.
3. 2 hours of work with the team, on the code-base.
