I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at slice in Sept 2021
Interview
I applied through referral, it took 1 week to get a call from the HR team. After the HR discussion I gave 2 rounds of interviews - 1st round was DS algo, 2nd round was tech discussion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer in the second round was interested, he looked more concerned about the camera angle which he changed multiple times. The questions asked were too theoretical like the difference between MySql and Postgres, the Difference between the Adapter pattern and the Factory pattern.
The interview was scheduled for 1 hour but ended within 30 mins out of which over 10 mins was spent on implementing a Algo problem which I did btw.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at slice (Bengaluru) in Nov 2020
Interview
tl;dr - Great, fast, brought visibility, discussions than Q&A.
The process was very organized and considerate based on the candidate's time. There were quick and constant updates. It was a fast interview process, something I appreciated.
The best part was open discussions and visibility in the interview rounds which really helped build the trust factor and availability for follow-ups with patience.
During the interview, the team worked towards eliminating any doubts and concerns to ensure my understanding of the company, processes, and expectations were clear.
