      Software Development Engineer Interview

      3 Mar 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Nāgpur, Maharashtra
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at slice (Nāgpur, Maharashtra) in Feb 2022

      Interview

The recruiter reached out to me pretty quickly after I was referred at Slice and was very enthusiastic in giving an overall picture of what is being currently done, even from the technical perspective. After an initial interaction, I was informed about number of rounds in the process and what all the rounds were going to be about, the same was conveyed through a mail. There was maximum flexibility on offer regarding when these rounds were supposed to be scheduled. Recruiting team makes you feel comfortable and provides good feedback on how the rounds went about. The interviewers showed utmost respect throughout the process and provided inputs towards taking you to the solution of the question, if need be, at times

      Software Development Engineer Interview

      19 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at slice in Feb 2022

      Interview

I applied for the Backend Engineer role (SDE 1) in Feb 2021. Round 1 I was asked 2 questions, one was to find the intersection point of a Linked List, another was stock exchange problem. Round 2, was given a DFS problem to find out number of teams in a company given the work relationship of employees. I find this a little hard to do quickly unless rote-learnt the solution before. Verdict - rejected I was given a feedback that I gave unoptimised solution for the stock exchange problem and took long time to do the DFS problem. What I find very unusual and irritating is the interviewer in the first round didn't gave me the opportunity to optimise my initial solution and just told me the solution as soon as I was done with my initial approach of solving the problem. Advice Interview questions were standard, I would advice to prepare interviewBit questions and "by-heart" the solutions since interviewers were expecting a magic in your first attempt of solving the problem.

Q: intersection point of LL Q: Stock buy and sell Q: Find number of teams given the graph representation of members
