It’s just that from point 8 it does not look like a good experience and definitely not the type SmartSense does. This is only one of its kind we faced till now. So we take this very seriously and have studied your case internally through the details.
Firstly, all our HR rounds start with introduction and going to the details of the personality. We take pride in saying that our HR interviews are designed to identify if the candidate is suitable for our ethical and transparent culture or not. And we are sure, if you think hard you will recall that the salary part was discussed at the end. Usually it is just 15 mins in the whole 90 min HR round except for some unique cases like this one.
Next, even though it was clearly mentioned in the application email you received the expectations you have entered, if you had to disagree to that in the HR round, this falls under the issues of misunderstandings. And such type of misunderstandings should not happen between any team member and company, so it is only good that you are not engaged with us.
Anyways, this was a learning experience for a fast growing startup like ours, that even if the expectations are mentioned in the email, we need to verify it before going in any interview round.
