      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at tado°

      Interview

It went very quickly, took around 2-3 weeks altogether, overall I had 3 stages (2 interviews with different team members and an experience day at office). I would say that process is well structured and smooth. The only thing I didn't like is that I was asked about my compensation expectations in front of other team members during my second online meeting.

      Question 1

During the first stages there were very basic questions "Tell me about yourself/experience" and similar easy ones. When I was invited to the office for the experience day, I was informed that there would be a task lasting about an hour. I asked the HR manager if she could give me a brief idea of the task so I could better prepare, but unfortunately, I wasn’t given any specific details. Additionally, I was told I could bring my own laptop for the experience day to work on the assigned tasks. However, when I arrived, I was provided with their laptop instead, which had Windows as the operating system. Since I hadn’t worked with Windows for over five years, it was quite disorienting. To complicate things further, the laptop had a trial version of Microsoft Office, which was quite buggy. One of the tasks involved working with data in Excel. While the tasks themselves were fairly simple, I found that I needed more time to refresh my logic/ approach to it and to get familiar with provided data, also Excel was malfunctioning—some formulas and charts weren’t working properly. This made the process more challenging than it needed to be. I shared all of those problems with hiring manager and suggested that I can do one more approach to solve the tasks, but in the end I was rejected. Despite these issues, I found the company environment and the people there to be great overall.
