I was recommended by a friend to the Android team lead. I told the team lead that I would rather do iOS development as it's my stronger development platform. I did my first interview over the phone that was iOS specific. One of the phone interview questions was about salary: What was my lowest salary I would accept, and what was my highest. I thought that was strange to ask "highest". I got an email from the Android team lead telling me that theScore filled all iOS development positions and only Android development positions were available. If I wanted to proceed with the interview process, I would have to do so as an Android developer. I agree and continue with the process. I studied a few Android articles and changes to the API. I did the Android interview and was surprised how easy it was. The offer that was emailed to me was $5000 less than what I said was my minimum. I negotiated to a salary I was comfortable with and accepted the position. After 2 weeks on the job, HR sent out a memo saying they are "STILL" looking for iOS developers and to let them know of any candidates. I was lied to by the Android team lead regarding availability of iOS jobs.
