I had one of the worst interview experiences with V4c.ai, reflecting a serious lack of professionalism and internal coordination.
The interview process consisted of three rounds (two technical and one techno-managerial), followed by HR discussion. I successfully completed all the rounds and was explicitly informed that I had cleared the final round. Post this confirmation, I was asked to share documents for verification, which I promptly submitted.
However, after document submission, I received a message stating that the confirmation shared earlier was a mistake, and that feedback meant for another candidate with a similar name was incorrectly communicated to me. As a result, they decided not to proceed with my profile.
This level of miscommunication is highly unacceptable. Clearing interviews, being officially informed of selection, and being asked for document verification creates genuine expectations for a candidate. Reversing the decision due to an internal error shows poor hiring practices, lack of accountability, and disrespect for a candidate’s time and effort.
Such mistakes seriously damage employer credibility. Candidates invest significant time, preparation, and emotional energy into interviews, and this experience reflects a careless and unstructured recruitment process.
I strongly hope the organization improves its internal communication and hiring discipline to avoid putting future candidates through a similar experience.
