I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at VIPKid (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Aug 2019
Interview
Filled out application on t.vipkid (google will help with the rest - cant recall) and got a quick approval based on what I put in. For traditional teaching, 5 years, for internships and volunteering add on another 3 years, for online teaching that was added in for another 1 year. Make your resume sparkle like the gem you are too - it helps! After that, I was asked to do a live demo or record a demo. I recorded because I figured it would speed up the process and it did. Then I got offered 4 certification levels to do a mock for (grouped into 2) and I "failed" my first for lower and immediately passed for higher grouping. I went ahead and re did the lower levels, taking ALL the advice from that amazing mentor and rocked the second. If you get a mock, you're essentially golden (consider it training) but be aware they are trying to see if you listen and what your teaching style is with base pay. Then I got my contract. Read it. If you approve, sign it. Then open those slots!!! Take certifications ASAP (TESOL) and take workshops! Join teaching groups. Be the star that you are :)
