Cameron Compression Systems manufactures and distributes compressors, and provides aftermarket parts and services to the worldwide gas production, gas transmission, process, and industrial markets. It makes centrifugal compressors (compresses vapor and expels it with centrifugal force) and reciprocating compressors (compresses air by using a piston in a cylinder). The company has offices in Brazil, China, Dubai, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, the US, and Venezuela. Cameron Compression Systems is one of three business segments operated by Cameron International. It was formed through the 2001 merger of Cooper Energy Services' operations with those of Cooper Turbocompressor into Cooper Compression.
