Cellcom Israel is one of Israel's leading wireless telecommunications operator. Founded in 1994, the company provides domestic cellular services, including voice, content, data, and multimedia messaging, throughout the territory. It provides international service through roaming agreements with nearly 500 other communications providers. Cellcom Israel also has fiber-optic transmission and microwave-based network resources that support its cellular network and allow the company to offer limited data and landline phone services primarily to business customers. Israeli investment firm IDB Holding, where Cellcom Israel director Nochi Danker serves as chairman and CEO, owns 52% of the company.
