From Nigeria to New York City, Daewoo Engineering & Construction (Daewoo E&C) swings its hammer far and wide. The firm is one of the largest construction companies in South Korea and is active around the world. It provides construction, engineering, and architectural services for power, industrial, infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects. Daewoo E&C's portfolio includes gas pipeline and storage tanks in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East; more than 130 domestic and international highway and bridge projects; and its PRUGIO brand of upscale apartments. Founded in 1973 and spun off by the now-defunct Daewoo Group in 2000, Daewoo E&C was acquired by Kumho Asiana Group in 2006.
