Cristal Union tastes more than just sweetness in its sugar products. One of France's largest sugar producers, Cristal Union is a grower-owned cooperative that produces a variety of products from sugar beets, including sugar for consumer and industrial use (marketed under its Daddy and Erstein brands), as well as alcohol and ethanol used in food, fuel, cosmetics, perfumes, liquor, and other products. Other key products include dehydrated alfalfa and beet pulp ingredients used in animal feed. Cristal Union, which operates eight production facilities in France, distributes its products primarily in Europe. The co-op traces its roots back to 2000.
