Description InterfaceFLOR is flooring its customers with carpet tile. A subsidiary of Interface, it's the largest modular carpet maker in the world, offering "free-lay" carpet to businesses, government and education entities, retailers, and hospitals. Its sister company, FLOR, offers a residential do-it-yourself carpet line sold throughout the US at Lowe's, Design Within Reach, and some 160-plus specialty retailers. The company's flooring systems consist of carpet tiles cut in squares or rectangles and laid to resemble traditional carpet. Interface chairman Ray Anderson brought modular carpet to the US from Europe in 1973 when he founded predecessor company Carpets International.
