Textainer is one of the world's leading lessors and managers of shipping containers. Its fleet has more than 3 million 20-foot equivalent units of capacity. Its leasing segment offers four different types of leases: term (specified number of containers for a specified period of time), master (more flexible set of conditions valid for a specified period of time), spot (short lease period), and finance (alternative means of purchasing containers). Term leases represent nearly two-thirds of Textainer's fleet. Founded in 1979, the company provides containers to more than 400 shipping lines through a network of 14 regional and area offices, as well as depots in 150-plus locations globally.
