Description Let's hope that students incorporate a little reading into their schedules each week. Weekly Reader Corporation publishes materials for students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. Its flagship publication, the Weekly Reader newspaper, has editions for students in pre-K through grade 6. Other titles include Read, Career World, and its first publication, Current Events. Weekly Reader also publishes workbooks and other supplementary educational materials. More than 90% of US school districts use the company's publications. Weekly Reader was founded in 1902. It is a subsidiary of Scholastic, which bought the company from The Reader's Digest Association in 2012.
