Pros

Family environment with many people being there for a long time. Relatively open management structure.

Cons

Outdated products which went up against Google's technology. Sales teams had the hardest times with quarterly targets.

Pros

Award-winning technology, varied and diverse focus in the online realm which lends access to a large cross-section of data and much inventory Owned by WPP which spells strong prospects for longevity

Cons

From an investment standpoint or upper management stance, the profitability and prospects for longevity are strong. However, as an employee who is a non-executive/not upper management, the hours are miserable, the pay is mediocre, and talented, smart people are very under appreciated. The office culture is lacking as well. There are pizza Fridays and bagel Mondays, but that's about it. People rarely interact with one another except for certain cliques who tend to stick together. The atmosphere is very young and reminiscent of high school. While immaturity is rampant, the bureaucracy is thick and the feeling of fear and constant scrutiny is an every day reality here. People are treated as disposable napkins who are often thrown out when their utility has passed their prime or because they have angered or upset someone who is favored by upper management. Favoritism IS rampant and the organization is far from a meritocracy. The prospects for advancement are contingent upon (and I hate to say this) physical appearance and how well you are liked. Your intelligence, talent, and hard work is rarely rewarded and you are rarely told how good of a job you've done, or thanks for pulling through, but are yelled at for small and minor mistakes. If you divide the average annual salary by the hours worked, the pre-tax hourly rate of the average person is approx $10-13/hr People are constantly living in fear and distrusting of one another and most of the talented people are leaving for better opportunities.

Immature Management & Lack of Employee Training

Pros

If you are a company or corporation looking to monetize your website through advertising, then there is probably no better product/service than Open Adstream.

Cons

If you are considering working for this company, then be sure you already have experience in on-line advertising and a detailed understanding of their Open Adstream product. They train their customers better than their employees. What passes for training are ad-hock, poorly organized, poorly documented and hastily delivered presentations, often by those who have no verifiable training background. Management styles and levels of management experience vary widely across the company. On one hand you might be fortunate to have a manager who truly knows how to manage. On the other hand, you may end up caught between two or more managers where you will be micro-managed and massively abused by people who have little management experience, and have no consideration for your credentials or the value of the knowledge and experience that you bring to the table. If you still choose to work here, have your exit strategy ready on day one.
