As a job that is supposed to be pretty independent, every minute of your work day is micromanaged. You don’t even get to make your own schedule, and you have to ask the office manager to edit your schedule for you. All they really care about is that you meet your billable hour requirement (27 hrs), which is why they make your schedule for you. You are required a minimum 40 hour work week. If your schedule is short even 15 minutes, you will be forced to use your PTO to cover that time. If I ever took time off work, I would be scheduled 10 hour days to “make up” the time that I missed so I barely ended up even needing to use my PTO hours. Bottom line, the work/life balance is awful. You will be working long days and potentially Saturdays as well. They have crazy high turn-over rates, including supervisors. Everyone is miserable but they’re also afraid to say anything because if they speak up, there will be more than likely be some backlash.
