Pros

- Base Salary - can be any where from 25k - 40k depending on your interview with Mark. - Training manager Donald, is a good salesman and you can learn from Shadowing him. - Mon - Fri schedule (although, you will need your weekend to recuperate) - Free Parking - In White Plains, it is a big plus. As you read, I try to include specifics so you don't think this comes from a disgruntled employee. The "5 star" reviews are from the managers there.

Cons

- Commission pay is very, very low - They abuse your schedule, when interviewing, they tell you the hours are from 8:30 - 5:30 pm. When you start they want you working to 6pm, and then they want you to work extra hours. - They force you to work through your lunch or before or after your shift for "training" - The contract you sign is a joke. - The metrics by which your are measured are set in your contract are impossible to attain (they do this knowing you wont achieve it and can use against you if you don't want to show up for the mandatory training) - The job is straight Cold Calling so it isn't for everyone and sales are tough so you are forced to make at least 175 calls per day. - They don't like when you step away from your desk, if you're not constantly dialing they start complaining about the total sales numbers (office numbers not just yours) - There prices are higher than competition (not uncommon), because of this, they prey on businesses who haven't been solicited yet and don't know competitive prices. So businesses who do know prices, it means you have to lower the price a little (natural in negotiating) you don't get paid commission (its really what they want, so not to pay but still make money) - There is no growth there, the "managers" are friends of the owners - The owners are completely unprofessional - The owner Mark, used to sell energy for another company so he has experience but the "scripts" they MAKE you follow are useless, always changing, and they blame you when you are not successful using those "scripts" - They are open every holiday (even though the businesses you are calling are closed), so if you want time with your family on holidays you are forced to use your minimal days off. - No vacation time offered - No 401k offered - They spy on you (not the standard listening on calls to make sure you are progressing) hidden mics in sales rooms!!! - Only management has been there for over a year, constantly revolving new sales (that should tell you what type of culture there is.)

Pros

Great sales training. If you can sell energy here you can sell anything from ferraris to stocks to toasters and to cars.

Cons

Hard sales job, selling the energy product is one of the toughest sales jobs I've ever had. The owners of the company Tiffany and have inconsistent policies and make it hard to stay there The managers pressure you to close to make impossible sales quotas. Reason why most new hires quit within days.
