Pros

Nice people and intelligent people that regretted working with this organization once they realized how much shady this organization was.

Cons

The funding for this organization esp Project Nur is extremely questionable. No transparency on how funding keeps coming through. The Executive Director will never discuss the topic. Nepotism and people are hired by connection and nothing to do with merit. No professionalism and absolutely no growth. Pay is terrible. Also while I worked their there would be times where the Executive Director would not be able to pay her employees on time due to lack of sufficient funds however her personal check came on time.

Pros

This organization has fantastic mission and values with real potential to be a powerful voice in its field of focus. Work life balance is great as everyone is in at 9 and out at 5 on the dot. Lower level employees have been wonderful to work with and all believe in the potential this organization has.

Cons

Do your research on this organization . Absolutely no structure for personal/career growth, employees are seen as replaceable and that's very evident in each interaction with the Executive Director and the number of people who have come and gone. Financial Mismanagemen and /Funding sources of the organization are suspect at best, which resulted in public backlash and the shutting down of all international programs. Executive Director is extremely egocentric with very offensive views about Muslims in the United States that are not deemed "moderate". Every issue starts and stops with the Executive Directors inability to manage/run the non profit and properly navigate racial politics in the US. Advocates intercultural and inter ethnic understanding but consistently undercuts that by refusing to work/engage with a large majority of Muslims in the United States as they are believed to be "part of the Muslim Brotherhood". This is a neo conservative organization that masks it with liberal/globably minded intentions.
