Pros
Not many pros unless you're a nepo hire then you're set.
Cons
There are SO many cons to this place which sadly you won't know until you work there since everyone was so friendly and welcoming during my interview process. First off, there is zero training--if you don't know the software they use then good luck to you because you will be hounded for not knowing. Second, they really only fill the firm with friends and family. I watched them fire multiple people without cause just to replace them the next day (or the same day) with the relative of someone who works there or used to work there (I am not exaggerating this at all). Also before I started they had let go of seven people which is a lot for a small firm and during my time there they fired four others--once again I want to state these people were excellent at their jobs they were let go to be replaced by nepo hires. Also, ever since Eric became managing partner the morale of this place has seriously gone down. In the three years he's been in charge, employee turnover rate has increased by a ton and he's generally not a good person. He will lose his temper quickly and curse at you and no one calls out his behavior. While he never did it to me personally, I watched him do it to others and others would show me messages where he texted them cursing them out. It feels like you're constantly on edge coming into work. I used to look forward to my remote days because of the peace at home and being able to work without some *literally* looking over your shoulder constantly. Another thing I cannot overstate enough--you are watched like a hawk. Upper management is weird here, I've seen them take photos of people just so they can complain about something but everyone here does their job and is pretty good at it, they just love to micromanage with fear. I had a partner come up to me my first week and immediately warn me about the gossip and how I shouldn't say anything if I have a problem because that's how gossip starts. By my second week I was already applying for new jobs. There is also no diversity so being a person of color was tough at this firm; it was no secret that you were on the outside plus it didn't help that the majority of the partners are old white women who perpetuate this culture even more. I genuinely can't recommend working here even if you plan on using it as a stepping stone, it's not worth your mental and physical health. Don't be fooled by them winning Best Workplace Awards, it is the best workplace for the people it benefits (the friends/family hires) but it literally benefits no one else.
