Pros

Company is getting bigger, bigger balance sheet and wider product offerings.

Cons

The vibrancy, transparency and empowerment featured in Catlin culture is diminishing. People now work in silos, processes are broken down to small roles like an assembly line in factory. It takes longer to get things done now. Gone are the days of collaboration. Political maneuvers are so visible even at junior level. This merger does not seem to be taking the best of both companies as initially conveyed, nor does the acquirer seem to show any real interest in retaining talents, especially from the acquired company.
